In the hot summer months, I frequently get asked by my children to make them something cold. They always want an ice cream shake. I really don’t want to make my kids ice cream shakes all summer. I came up with this smoothie in an effort to create something without a ton of sugar in it. Despite no sugar, this recipe comes out sweet, thick and creamy. It’s an awesome way to beat the summer heat.
Even more so, this takes only a few minutes and very little prep. So it’s ideal as an afterschool snack. With my Healthy Fruit Smoothie, the kids are getting some protein instead of drinking down a juicebox.
