Back when I was eating a Paleo diet (with dairy), I created this dip as something I can bring to parties and potlucks. The people around me made dips by mixing powdered packets into either yogurt or sour cream. I just couldn’t get over all of the chemicals and the uncontrolled salt level of those dips.
So, I set out to make a dip packed with flavor. My Onion Garlic Dip became a quick hit and was requested whenever I was invited out. So, I knew I had a winner on my hands. And now I’m sharing this secret treasure with you!
The trick to this recipe is using dry spices and then letting them rehydrate overnight. It takes a mere 5 minutes to mix this dip up. If you try to eat it immediately, be prepared for some odd crunchy bits lol. This dip is meant to sit in the fridge overnight, or at least several hours. Give it a final stir and voila...perfection. All of the dry spices rehydrate and fill the sour cream base with flavor.
Serve this up with your favorite fresh vegetables and pita triangles for an unforgettable crudite platter or use it to mix in with pasta coat fish for a fresh new dish!
