The other day, I was busy running around with my kids. They had appointments, plus they all get dropped off and picked up from school at different times. And just generally, it was a busy day. So coming home, I was at a loss for dinnertime. I had some meat to throw in the oven and I needed a side that wasn’t just filler. I wanted something delicious, not just good enough.
So, I put together some asparagus and everything spice and bam! It was really delicious and perfectly roasted. My kids polished it off and my husband asked where the second pan was. This recipe is going into my regular rotation of quick and easy sides. How about you?

Ingredients:
- 2 bunches Asparagus
- 2 Tablespoons Oil
- 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt
- ½ teaspoon Black Pepper
- 2 Tablespoons Everything Spice
Instructions:
- Line a sheetpan with parchment. Preheat the oven to 400.
- Hold the asparagus at each end and bend gently until the hard bottom part of the stalk snaps off. Do this for all of the asparagus stalks.
- Drizzle the oil over the asparagus. Sprinkle on the Kosher Salt, Black Pepper, Everything Spice.
- Use your hands to toss the ingredients all together. Smooth the asparagus back into a single layer.
- Roast in the oven for 20-30 minutes until it’s tendercrisp. Then remove from heat and serve either hot or room temperature.
- This dish can be frozen, but I don’t love what happens to the texture. It becomes more flaccid on second heating, so ideally serve fresh and not made in advance.
